I’ve spent a good many years sitting at my desk writing stories, and each and every time I type that final ‘The End’, it really does feel like the end. The end of a relationship. The end of sharing my days with my characters and the adventures they’ve taken me on. Characters I’ve become very fond of.

It means leaving a world I’ve been so deeply immersed in, I don’t really want to come out of it. It’s like waking from a good dream, and now that I’m awake, I have to face the humdrum of reality.

Luckily, it doesn’t last long. My head is constantly full of stories. The challenge is finding the time to get them all out on paper (so to speak) before I forget them. So, now my computer is full of storylines waiting to be finished, and all of them are competing for my time.

But I’m trying my best to concentrate on one at a time, and currently that story is titled “Sherlene Locke” (a working title). I’m excited to say it’s almost completed, to the point where I’ve begun considering a proper title for the book. Something that will do it justice and accurately represent the story within.
